Mike Jeter
Lead Pastor
I have served in ministry for over 35 years and I joined Pine Street as Senior Pastor in August 2021, following 12 years of faithful service in Houston. I hold degrees from East Texas Baptist University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary.
My wife Alaine & I have been married since February 1984. Alaine works as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Baylor Scott & White in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Together, we are the proud parents of three adult children, two school-aged children, and One Granddaughter.
I have a passion for missions and have participated in ministry efforts around the world, including Kenya, Nigeria, Cambodia, Nepal, South Africa, China, and several countries in Central America. In my free time, I enjoy fishing and watching football.
My life verse is Ephesians 3:20: "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us."

Richard "Nub" Brown
Student / Associate Pastor
I am a native of Winnsboro, Texas and a 1978 graduate of Winnsboro High School, I have seen firsthand the power of transformation through Jesus Christ. After a difficult season in my early adulthood, including a battle with drug and alcohol addiction and a period of incarceration, I encountered the life-changing grace of God in May 1988 while serving time in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Just two months later, I was released and soon after publicly declared my faith through baptism.
By God’s grace, I married Renee’ Warren in June of 1993, and together we have been blessed with seven wonderful children—Kami, Eli, Addi, Tobi, Zoei, Brantli, and Charli—as well as a son-in-law, Marcus, and two grandchildren, Kyiah and Jude.
I was licensed to the Gospel ministry on December 1, 1996, and have served as the full-time Student Pastor and Education Minister at Pine Street Baptist Church since October 1, 1997. I was ordained on June 8, 2003, and on December 22, 2006, I was honored to receive a full pardon from the State of Texas, granted by Governor Rick Perry.
My ministry work includes counseling in areas such as family relationships, marriage, addiction recovery, and grief. I have been privileged to speak at schools, civic clubs, youth groups, and churches on the topics of drug and alcohol awareness. I also served for over twelve years in prison ministry at the Clyde M. Johnston Unit in Winnsboro.
My passion for students extends beyond the church. I remain active in our community through sports—as a player, coach, official, and encourager. I care deeply about the challenges young people face today, and it is my prayer that, through my own life journey, I can help others make wise choices and discover true hope in Jesus Christ.
